Holly Hancock's work is an exploration of identity and society. Hancock's interdisciplinary focus on photojournalism, documentation, and fine art; visually justifies their own place in society. They document the world around them on a personal and societal level by capturing contemporary issues both traditionally and digitally.

As an artist with a background in sociology specializing in a lens-based medium, I have learned to view the world in a complex and unbiased nature. Growing up alongside the rise of social media, where the digital camera became a major ubiquitous tool of the average person, I have found myself having an appreciation for 20th century photographic processes.
